Title: I was Down at the Cape....
Post by: lamdeptunhien9x on July 01, 2019, 05:55:51 AM
today and my Dad mentions he found two "new" Herreshoff's at a small yard in Marstons Mills just up the road - "a 23 and a 12". He heard they have the same owner. We shot over to Beacon's yard to take a look... Sure enough there they are side by side... Shannon Collins's 12 "Blue Moon" (1170) and FI-23 "Rose" (1223). What beauties!!!!! Supposedly they are in for "work" - from the looks of them I'd guess just cosmetic - they sure looked nice to me!
All this without my camera...

Wonderful find!  The family boat when I was young was a FI-23, hull 1222. Tigress.
